Please can you pass on my thanks for the operation? Since I had it done, I have not suffered any pain whatsoever. My GP informs me that this is the result of having such a good surgeon!

 

Thanks for all your support and help with my recent knee operations.   I was, today, discharged by the physiotherapist which is excellent news. My left knee, which proved problematic, is showing great signs of recovery. I am now able to run at 15 km per hour on the running machine.

 

As you know, I have been plagued by this knee problem for six years and I am truly grateful for your kindness and assistance.

 

I am sure you will be pleased to hear that I am making rapid progress, thanks to you and your splendid staff. 

 

I would like to give you my impression of your staff:   always smiling, always available, professional looking as thought they are pleased to be working at the Clinic. The results speak for themselves. 

 

I am lucky to be treated at such a centre of excellence.

 

I thought that I would write a quick note to once again thank you for putting my knee back together! I have had an excellent five years before this recent dislocation, enjoying no pain and being physically able to do whatever I wanted. Not bad, considering the severity of my problem. The recent operation has given me even more confidence as I can feel the disobedient kneecap being kept in place. To say that I am glad we went ahead with the operation would be an understatement.

 

Certain sports are a very large part of my life and, thanks to you, I am able to continue. Healthy body, healthy mind! I certainly will not be claiming to have been crippled, quite the opposite in fact.

 

I know my mother has written before to thank you for seeing me so quickly in January. It is hard being on the other side of the Atlantic when these things happen. However, she relaxed once she knew you were in control.

 

What I am trying to say without sounding too melodramatic is thank you for giving me the ability to lead a relatively normal life, even if I do need a pit stop every five years or so!

 

 

From the guy whose knee you did last February and September.   I want to let you know I have been getting on well since the operation;   it really has done me the world of good.

 

I am sure you could see that I was extremely sceptical and nervous at first. However, you have proved me wrong. I experienced a marked improvement after both operations and now, although the knee is not what it was, it is strong enough for me to have confidence in and this makes such a difference.

 

The entire experience, not that it was one I would wish to repeat, was, however, quite pleasant.   I felt that throughout the whole thing I could not have been in better hands and enjoyed having the time to lie around without having to worry.

 

May I also say the surgeon was extremely helpful and reassuring. I had been messed about by a number of surgeons before finding you, you really let me know what the score was and how I should feel about making decisions.

 

As I had limped on the dodgy knee for a couple of years, my whole body is a bit out of balance.   This will take some time before it is completely right but I have been building up the left side and can lift weights on my left leg now just the same as I used to.

 

Thank you for taking the time to learn your trade, it has made a real difference in my life.

I have now been home for one week and am progressing very well with little or no pain and am managing the crutches very well.

 

A plain ‘thank you’ seems so inadequate for all you did for me and I wish I could thank you more fully for all your skill, kindness and expertise.

 

My GP is delighted with my progress, so much so, the he has asked me to ‘sing your praises’, also Droitwich Hospital, to other patients who are in need of your skills.

 

Thank you for your surgical expertise, physiotherapists for the torture and encouragement and all the nursing staff for your care. The attached would not have been possible without your consummate skills and attention.
